Cookie Policy

This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the website of The Messianic Jewish Alliance of Israel (“MJAI”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website or service stores in your browser. They are used to make sites work, to keep them secure and, on some sites, to measure or advertise.

Cookies we set

MJAI does not set any advertising, analytics or tracking cookies on this website.

The only cookies set by our own website are used by our staff when previewing unpublished content in our content management system. They are not set for regular visitors.

Cookies set by third-party services

Some features of the site are provided by other companies, which may set or read their own cookies:

• Google reCAPTCHA (necessary) — loaded on our pages to protect our contact and newsletter forms from spam and abuse. It may set a cookie (such as _GRECAPTCHA) and read existing Google cookies. How Google uses information.
• YouTube (optional) — our videos load only after you accept optional cookies. The YouTube player may then set cookies (such as YSC and VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE) to deliver the video and remember your preferences. Google Privacy Policy.
• PayPal (optional) — the donation checkout loads only after you accept optional cookies. PayPal may then set cookies needed to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. PayPal cookie statement.

These companies control their own cookies, and their own policies (linked above) explain how they use them.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. If you choose Necessary only, YouTube videos and the PayPal checkout stay switched off until you allow them; reCAPTCHA always runs because it protects our forms. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies only. Blocking cookies from the services above may stop our forms, videos or donation panel from working.

• Mozilla Firefox
• Apple Safari
• Microsoft Edge

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we add or change services that use cookies. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
